Edith Doove

Edith Doove (Brussels) is an art historian, curator and writer with a huge interest in crossovers between various disciplines and anything circular.

She was director/curator of MDD, Museum Dhondt-Dhaenens, Deurle between 999 and 2004 where she made group exhibitions like 3ness (2000), Aubette (2001), FEB.3.2002 2002), SWITCH (2003) and IJS/ICE (2004) and solo shows with Jorge Pardo, Raoul De Keyser, Jean-Michel Othoniel and Santiago Sierra. During this period she also made several in situ shows like ‘Bubbles’ (Brussels, 2000), ‘(They say) This is the Place’ (Antwerp, 2001), ‘A Riddle for Zoersel’ Zoersel, 2002) and ‘tracer’ (Ename, 2003). Since leaving MDD she was artistic director of ‘SUPER!’, the first edition of the Triennial for Contemporary Art, Fashion & Design, Hasselt 2005 and curator of ‘Hyperbolic’ (Stuk – Leuven, 2006) and ‘De Donderdagen’ (De Singel – Antwerpen, 2007).
